ThumbScore respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), ThumbScore will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content on ThumbScore infringes your copyright, please send a written notice containing the following information:

  1. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  2. The URL(s) on ThumbScore where the infringing material is located
  3. Your contact information (name, address, phone number, email)
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  6. Your physical or electronic signature

Fair Use

ThumbScore displays movie poster thumbnails (reduced to 300px width), movie titles, and brief metadata for the purpose of commentary, criticism, and review aggregation. We believe this constitutes fair use under Section 107 of the Copyright Act. Movie ratings and scores represent aggregated public opinion data.

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification with the information required under DMCA Section 512(g).
