The film tells several interrelated stories of crime and redemption in Los Angeles, presented in a non-linear narrative structure. The ensemble cast includes John Travolta as Vincent Vega, Samuel L.
Jackson as Jules Winnfield, Uma Thurman as Mia Wallace, Bruce Willis as Butch Coolidge, Tim Roth, Amanda Plummer, Ving Rhames, and Harvey Keitel. Tarantino's screenplay is celebrated for its rich, eclectic dialogue, ironic mix of humor and violence, and numerous pop culture references. The film revitalized John Travolta's career and cemented Tarantino as one of the most influential filmmakers of his generation.
Pulp Fiction won the Palme d'Or at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for seven Academy Awards, winning Best Original Screenplay. It grossed over $213 million worldwide against a budget of just $8 million and is widely regarded as one of the most influential films in cinema history.
