Brokeback Mountain is a 2005 American romantic drama directed by Ang Lee, based on Annie Proulx's 1997 short story. Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal star as Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist, two cowboys who develop a sexual and emotional relationship while working together herding sheep on Brokeback Mountain in Wyoming in 1963.
