Final Destination 2 is a 2003 American supernatural horror film directed by David Richard Ellis. When Kimberly Corman, played by A.J. Cook, has a vision of a massive highway pileup that kills everyone in her vicinity, she blocks the freeway on-ramp and prevents several people from entering โ saving their lives but marking them for Death's collection, as the survivors of the first film's plane explosion demonstrated.
The elaborate death sequences โ the franchise's primary draw โ were significantly more inventive and graphic than the original's, beginning with one of the most elaborate and devastating car crash sequences ever filmed. Each subsequent death was an elaborate Rube Goldberg contraption of everyday objects and bad luck conspiring to create spectacularly unlikely fatalities. Final Destination 2 earned $90 million worldwide on a $26 million budget.
