Just Go with It is a 2011 American romantic comedy directed by Dennis Dugan. Adam Sandler stars as Danny Maccabee, a plastic surgeon who has used a fake wedding ring for decades to seduce women by pretending to be unhappily married. When he meets Palmer, a much younger woman played by Brooklyn Decker, and she discovers the ring, Danny enlists his assistant Katherine, played by Jennifer Aniston, to pose as his soon-to-be ex-wife โ a deception that escalates when Katherine's children become involved, requiring the entire fake family to accompany Palmer on a trip to Hawaii.
The film was loosely based on the 1969 film Cactus Flower, itself adapted from a French play, though the update substituted screwball sophistication for Sandler's broader comedic style. The Hawaiian locations were visually appealing, and Jennifer Aniston's natural likability made the inevitable romantic revelation satisfying. Nicole Kidman appeared in an extended comedic cameo.
Just Go with It earned $215 million worldwide on a $80 million budget.
