Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb is a 2014 American fantasy comedy directed by Shawn Levy, the concluding chapter of the trilogy. Ben Stiller returns as Larry Daley, who discovers that the Tablet of Ahkmenrah โ the magical Egyptian artifact that brings museum exhibits to life โ is corroding, causing the exhibits to malfunction dangerously. Larry and his museum friends must travel to the British Museum in London to find the tablet's secret before its magic is lost forever.
The film was Robin Williams's final live-action film role, and his warmth as Theodore Roosevelt gave the character's farewell scene a poignant, unintentional resonance following the actor's death in August 2014, four months before the film's release. The British Museum setting introduced new exhibits including a Lancelot played by Dan Stevens. Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb earned $363 million worldwide on a $127 million budget.
