Dune: Part Two (2024)
- The lead role in Dune: Part Two was originally offered to a massive A-list star who turned it down because they didn't understand the script.

Dune: Part Two is a 2024 American epic science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve, completing the adaptation of Frank Herbert's novel. Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides, who has been taken in by the Fremen of Arrakis and must navigate the tension between his genuine respect for their culture and the messianic expectations they project onto him — expectations Paul knows he can exploit to build an army powerful enough to defeat the Harkonnens and the Emperor but which will ultimately lead to a devastating holy war across the galaxy. Zendaya's Chani is expanded from a supporting presence to the film's moral center, whose growing unease with Paul's transformation into a religious figure she knows is manufactured provides the story's most emotionally resonant thread.
Austin Butler's Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, a sadistic, theatrically cruel warrior prince, was a scene-stealing villain. Denis Villeneuve's direction reached its full epic potential — the sandworm riding sequences, the siege of Arrakeen, and the arena fight on Giedi Prime were staged with a grandeur that recalled David Lean's Lawrence of Arabia. Hans Zimmer's score expanded his Dune sonic palette with new themes for the Fremen and the Emperor.
Dune: Part Two earned $714 million worldwide and was acclaimed as one of the finest science fiction films of the decade.
