Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation is a 2018 American computer-animated comedy directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, the third installment. Dracula, voiced by Adam Sandler, is lonely and overworked running the hotel, so his daughter Mavis books a surprise family cruise for all the monsters. On the ship, Dracula falls head over heels for the mysterious human cruise director Ericka Van Helsing, voiced by Kathryn Hahn — who is secretly the great-granddaughter of Abraham Van Helsing and is plotting to use an ancient weapon to destroy all monsters.
Genndy Tartakovsky's animation was the series' most expressive, with the cruise ship setting providing new visual environments including an underwater volcano and the lost city of Atlantis. The DJ battle finale, set to a mashup of the Macarena, was characteristically absurd. Hotel Transylvania 3 earned $528 million worldwide on a $80 million budget.
