Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising is a 2016 American comedy directed by Nicholas Stoller, the sequel to the 2014 hit. Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne return as Mac and Kelly Radner, who are now in escrow to sell their house and must keep the property appearing normal for 30 days. When a new sorority, founded by Shelby, played by Chloe Grace Moretz, moves in next door because the girls are sick of the male-dominated Greek system's party rules, the Radners must shut down the house before the buyers discover they live next to a raging party sorority.
The twist that made the sequel work was recruiting Teddy, Zac Efron's character from the first film, as the sorority's party consultant β he allies with the girls before switching sides when he realizes they're using him. The film's feminist perspective, examining why sororities aren't traditionally allowed to throw parties while fraternities are, added unexpected substance to the comedy. Neighbors 2 earned $108 million worldwide on a $35 million budget.
