About the Film

Deadpool & Wolverine is a 2024 American superhero film directed by Shawn Levy, the first R-rated film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the movie that brought the X-Men franchise's most popular characters into the MCU. Ryan Reynolds returns as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, who is pulled from his mundane post-superhero life by the Time Variance Authority and must team up with a variant of Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, to save his dying universe from deletion. Their journey takes them through the Void, a wasteland at the end of time populated by pruned variants from across the multiverse.

The film's irreverent humor, fourth-wall breaking, and extensive cameos from legacy Fox Marvel characters gave it the feel of a celebratory sendoff for the Fox X-Men era. Deadpool & Wolverine earned $1.34 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film in history.
