What are the best movies of 2024? ThumbScore answers that question using real audience data — not critic reviews or algorithmic recommendations. Our ThumbScore rating shows the percentage of everyday Google users who gave a movie a thumbs up, making it a direct measure of audience enjoyment. This page ranks every 2024 movie release by that score, so you can find the top films of the year that real people actually loved.
2024 delivered a remarkable lineup of films across every genre. The highest rated 2024 movies on ThumbScore reflect what everyday audiences genuinely enjoyed — from award-winning dramas to crowd-pleasing blockbusters. Unlike traditional movie ranking sites that rely on critic consensus, ThumbScore reflects the voice of real viewers. A 95% ThumbScore means 95 out of 100 viewers enjoyed the film. We also show the Critics Score (an average of Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic) so you can compare audience and critic opinions on the best films of 2024.
