Despicable Me 3 is a 2017 American animated comedy produced by Illumination Entertainment. Gru discovers he has a long-lost twin brother Dru, voiced by Steve Carell in a dual role, a wealthy, blonde, enthusiastic man who wants Gru to teach him the ways of villainy โ a request that tempts Gru after he is fired from the Anti-Villain League. Meanwhile, the Minions, frustrated by Gru's abandonment of villainy, quit and end up in prison.
The villain Balthazar Bratt, voiced by Trey Parker, is a former 1980s child star whose canceled TV show drove him mad, and he uses weaponized 1980s technology including a giant robot, bubble gum, and a keytar to exact revenge on Hollywood. Trey Parker's Balthazar Bratt, who fights to a Michael Jackson soundtrack and uses his childhood catchphrases as battle cries, was one of the franchise's most entertaining villains. Despicable Me 3 earned $1.03 billion worldwide on a $80 million budget, the franchise's second billion-dollar entry.
