Pixels is a 2015 American science fiction action comedy directed by Chris Columbus. Adam Sandler stars as Sam Brenner, a former video game champion turned home theater installer who is called upon to save the world when aliens misinterpret old NASA video game footage sent into space in the 1980s as a declaration of war and attack Earth using giant versions of classic arcade game characters including Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Centipede, and Space Invaders.
