Men in Black: International is a 2019 American science fiction action comedy directed by F. Gary Gray. Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson star as Agent H and Agent M, MIB operatives who team up to investigate a mole within the organization and battle a pair of shape-shifting alien assassins.
Thompson's Agent M, a woman who witnessed an alien encounter as a child and spent her life searching for the MIB, provided the emotional entry point, while Hemsworth's Agent H, a once-legendary operative whose skills have deteriorated, added the buddy-comedy dynamic. Despite the chemistry between Hemsworth and Thompson, developed during their Thor: Ragnarok collaboration, the film was critically dismissed for its formulaic plot and lack of the original's charm. Liam Neeson and Emma Thompson appeared as the London branch chief and Agent O.
Men in Black: International earned $253 million worldwide on a $110 million budget.
