Fast X is a 2023 American action film directed by Louis Leterrier, the tenth mainline installment. Jason Momoa stars as Dante Reyes, the flamboyant, psychotic son of the drug lord killed in Fast Five, who has spent a decade plotting an elaborate revenge against Dominic Toretto and his entire family. Dante's plan involves manipulating events across Rome, London, Portugal, and Brazil to isolate and destroy each member of Dom's crew individually.
Jason Momoa's Dante was the franchise's most entertaining villain in years — his camp theatricality, colorful wardrobe, and gleeful sadism brought a chaotic energy that electrified his scenes. The Rome chase sequence, involving a giant rolling bomb through the city's historic streets, was characteristically over-the-top. Fast X earned $714 million worldwide on a $340 million budget, setting up a two-part conclusion to the franchise.
The film also featured returns from franchise veterans Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang, and Nathalie Emmanuel.
