The Best Music Movies on Disney+

A music film lives or dies on the moment the band finally plays. The best ones earn it, whether the story is true, made up or told entirely in song.

Disney+ has a more curated library than most platforms, but that doesn't mean every music movie on there is worth your time. This list shows you which ones audiences actually rated highest.

Every film on this list earned its ranking from real viewers, from musicals and backstage stories to the lives of the people who made the songs.

Every movie on this list is ranked by ThumbScore — the percentage of everyday people who liked the film. No critic gatekeeping, no algorithmic manipulation. Just real audience verdicts.
