The Best Sci-Fi Movies on Disney+

Sci-Fi is where filmmaking ambition meets audience imagination. Critics get distracted by whether the science is 'hard' enough or the metaphors are deep enough. Audiences care about one thing: did the movie blow their mind?

Disney+ has a more curated library than most platforms, but that doesn't mean every sci-fi movie on there is worth your time. This list shows you which ones audiences actually rated highest.

From space epics to cyberpunk thrillers to mind-bending time travel, these are the sci-fi films that real viewers rated highest.

Every movie on this list is ranked by ThumbScore — the percentage of everyday people who liked the film. No critic gatekeeping, no algorithmic manipulation. Just real audience verdicts.
