The Best Drama Movies on MGM+

Drama dominates awards season, which means it's also the genre most polluted by critics who confuse 'important' with 'good.' Audiences know the difference between a genuinely moving film and a two-hour lecture disguised as entertainment.

MGM+ streams much of the MGM and United Artists library. These are its drama movies that audiences rated highest.

These are the dramas that real people connected with — films that earned their emotional impact instead of demanding it.

Every movie on this list is ranked by ThumbScore — the percentage of everyday people who liked the film. No critic gatekeeping, no algorithmic manipulation. Just real audience verdicts.
