The Best Western Movies on MGM+

The western is one of the oldest genres in film and still one of the most rewarding: wide country, hard choices and the occasional fair fight.

MGM+ streams much of the MGM and United Artists library. These are its western movies that audiences rated highest.

Every film on this list earned its ranking from real viewers, from the classics of the 1950s and 60s to the westerns that came after them.

Every movie on this list is ranked by ThumbScore — the percentage of everyday people who liked the film. No critic gatekeeping, no algorithmic manipulation. Just real audience verdicts.
