Kanopy is free with a card from many public libraries and universities: no subscription and no ads. Its library is strong on classics, documentaries and independent films, with plenty of Hollywood titles too.

This page ranks every film on Kanopy by its ThumbScore, the share of everyday viewers who liked it, so the best of it is easy to find.

Your library sets how many films you can watch each month; its Kanopy page has the details.
