Crime movies tap into something primal — the thrill of the heist, the tension of the investigation, the morality of the underworld. Audiences have been obsessed with crime films since the genre was invented.
Netflix's library is massive, which means it has everything — and also a lot of nothing. Sorting through the catalog without a guide is a recipe for wasting an evening scrolling. This list cuts through the noise to the crime movies that audiences actually loved.
From gritty mob dramas to slick heist films, these are the crime movies that real viewers rated highest.
Every movie on this list is ranked by ThumbScore — the percentage of everyday people who liked the film. No critic gatekeeping, no algorithmic manipulation. Just real audience verdicts.
