The Best Action Movies on Netflix

Action movies live and die by their set pieces. Audiences don't need a critic to tell them whether a car chase was exciting or a fight scene was brilliantly choreographed — they felt it. That's why audience scores are the only honest measure of an action movie's quality.

Netflix's library is massive, which means it has everything — and also a lot of nothing. Sorting through the catalog without a guide is a recipe for wasting an evening scrolling. This list cuts through the noise to the action movies that audiences actually loved.

Whether you're in the mood for explosive blockbusters, martial arts masterpieces, or tense action-thrillers, this list delivers the films that real people watched and rated highest.

Every movie on this list is ranked by ThumbScore — the percentage of everyday people who liked the film. No critic gatekeeping, no algorithmic manipulation. Just real audience verdicts.
