Crime movies tap into something primal — the thrill of the heist, the tension of the investigation, the morality of the underworld. Audiences have been obsessed with crime films since the genre was invented.
Prime Video's library is enormous and chaotic. Half the catalog feels like it was uploaded by robots. But buried in the noise are some genuinely great crime films if you know where to look.
From gritty mob dramas to slick heist films, these are the crime movies that real viewers rated highest.
Every movie on this list is ranked by ThumbScore — the percentage of everyday people who liked the film. No critic gatekeeping, no algorithmic manipulation. Just real audience verdicts.
